Full Review
The Q5 Pro+ answers a clarifying question: what do you actually need for clean floors? LiDAR mapping so cleaning is systematic rather than random; enough suction for carpet; brushes that don't strangle on pet hair; and a dock you empty a few times a season. It has all four, and it routinely sells in the mid-$300s.
Roborock's app is the same one that drives its $1,000+ models โ full maps, per-room schedules, no-go zones. The 240-minute runtime covers large homes in one pass.
What you skip: real mopping (its water tank merely dampens a cloth) and camera-based obstacle avoidance, so floors need a quick cable-tidy before runs. If those trade-offs sound fine, nothing at this price cleans better.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Same core LiDAR mapping as Roborock flagships
- Self-empty dock holds ~7 weeks of debris
- Dual rubber brushes resist pet-hair tangles
- Frequently discounted well below list
Cons
- Basic drag-style mop โ treat it as a vacuum that dusts hard floors
- No camera obstacle avoidance; pick up cables first
